August heat and humidity returning! Temperatures this afternoon head to the upper 80s with 90 likely in the city. High pressure has been keeping winds out of the north, but things are changing. The high will move north east and starting tomorrow winds turning southerly and dew points will rise with the arrive of the moist air from the south.
Tomorrow finds many locations in the viewing area in the low 90s with plenty of August sunshine. There could be a few isolated storms in the hottest part of the day tomorrow into the early evening. The coming week: Daily highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. The best chance for storms will be Tuesday through Friday. Pools and lakes will be popular places this coming week.
