LOOKING AHEAD: We are tracking the potential for a deep trough late next week

Although it's over a week out, we are keeping an eye on much colder air that could move across the southeast next weekend.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A deep trough is forecast to move across the southeast late into weekend. A cold front will likely move through the area and bring in rain chances but depending on the timing and tracking, it could potentially mean winter weather.

Keep in mind, this is over a week out, but we want to keep you prepared from a trusted resource. 

Here is a look at what two different long range models are showing. Both models are showing the cold air funneling into East Tennessee, but timing can vary.

Either way, there is no way of forecasting "snow" just yet, but you can't take out the chance completely. As always, check back for updates daily!
