KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A deep trough is forecast to move across the southeast late into weekend. A cold front will likely move through the area and bring in rain chances but depending on the timing and tracking, it could potentially mean winter weather.

Here is a look at what two different long range models are showing. Both models are showing the cold air funneling into East Tennessee, but timing can vary.
