I'm baaaaaack!

So here I am back in town, back to the same morning gig I held down for nearly 10 years, back to seeing all of you out around town. And I have to sat, it feels right!

For those of you that don't know of me, here's where it all began.

I am a Colorado native. Lived in the same house for most of my life, well until I went to college of course. I spent some time in Durango, Colorado where I attended Ft. Lewis College for my freshmen year. From there I traveled north of Denver to Greeley, Colorado to attend the University of Northern Colorado. That's where I studied and earned my degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science, as my aspirations were to become a reporter. Well... things changed quickly after my first job in Grand Junction, Colorado at KJCT-TV where I was hired on as a photojournalist. And man did I love shooting and editing news stories. But I soon got the chance to do weather. With no idea of what or how to predict the weather I found myself heading back to college. I attended Mississippi State University in their online Broadcast Meteorology program.

After my stint in Grand Junction, Colorado I then found myself packing my backs to the other side of the mountains to Colorado Springs, Colorado at KOAA-TV. There I worked as the weekend meteorologist and continued to shoot and edit news during the week. After about two and a half years there, I finally got a full-time weather gig here in East Tennessee at WBIR-TV. For nearly 10 years I woke up at 2am to give you all the weather report for 10News Today and for FOX 43 News.

Onward and upward, a job opening at WeatherNationTV based out of Denver, Colorado, popped up. I had to take this opportunity to be home with family, plus try my hand on the national platform. What an experience it was, plus being home with family was amazing. With that said, coming back to East Tennessee and the opportunity to jump back into my 'old shoes' was necessary, and I'm so glad to be coming back 'home.'

I love to be outdoors. Anything outside makes me happy. And yes, even in the Tennessee summertime heat and humidity. I hike, mountain bike, ski and I love being on the water wakeboarding and hanging with friends. I'm excited to show my kids around town.

If you ever see me out and about, don't be afraid to say HELLO!
