A few schools in East Tennessee will either be on delay tomorrow to allow road conditions to improve, and others will be closed for the rest of the week due to illness spreading.
As off 8 a.m. Wednesday, Morgan County Schools, Calvary Baptist School in Kingston, and First Baptist Academy will all be closed through Friday due to illness.
Knoxville Catholic High School will be closed through Thursday due to illness, and students will have the day off Friday due to a planned teacher in-service day.
Union County Schools will be closed today.
Claiborne, Grainger and Hawkins County schools will operate on a 2-hour delay Wednesday.
Knox County Schools confirmed to 10News they will be open Wednesday.
Rumors and petitions calling for the district to close for the rest of the week had been circulating Tuesday night. KCS said the rumors were false and that all schools in their district will be open as normal.
