Knoxville angler and Bassmaster Classic winner announces he's having having heart surgery
Knoxville's own Ott DeFoe announced on his professional Facebook page that he is to have heart surgery. DeFoe says he first noticed he was out of breath during the final days of the Bassmaster Classic in the spring (which he won). His symptoms got worse and DeFoe finally had tests that revealed ia torn mitral valve in his heart. He told fans his doctors say the surgery will be minimally invasive and should take about 8 to 10 days recovery. He thanks everyone for their support June 25, 2019-4pm.
