Dollywood thrill seekers expect twists, turns, even timbers! But, dangling high above, now that's certainly a new adventure!
SkyZip is a brand new attraction with a serious adrenaline rush.
"This is the first, multiple zipline attraction at any theme park anywhere in the world," says Pete Owens with Dollywood.
With just a cable and pulley system, guests swing above the 150-acre theme park, through the tree tops.
"We've always wanted to do something near the Great Smoky Mountains," says Danny Boren, President of Eco-Adventures.
The ziplines stretch across Wilderness Pass, Dollywood's newest addition, and across Eagle Mountain Sanctuary.
"I think one of the things that SkyZip is going to offer our guests is the opportunity to explore areas of the park they've never seen before."
SkyZip of Dollywood is scheduled to open in May. It is a premium adventure, so there is an an extra charge. The cost is $40 in addition to your admission to Dollywood.
