A report by ESPN the magazine said Indy Car driver Danica Patrick is close to a two year deal with JR Motorsports to drive on NASCAR's Nationwide Series.
JR Motorsports is owned by Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
The story by Ryan McGee said negotiations were in "the final phase". According to the story, Patrick could make her on track debut at the ARCA race in Daytona in February.
Patrick signed a three year contract extension with her Indy Car team AGR earlier this year, but with just 17 races spread over almost eight months, there would be plenty of opportunities for her to drive the Nationwide Series.
