When the Tennessee Vols left for the Virgin Islands and the Paradise Jam tournament, they clearly packed their defense.  The Vols forced 35 turnovers in a 105-66 win over East Carolina.

Scotty Hopson's red-hot 3 point shooting carried over from Tuesday's win over North Carolina-Asheville.  He was 3 of 4 from behind the arc, and led five Vols in double figures with 25.  Bobby Maze tossed in 14 points, Cameron Tatum had 13, Tyler Smith scored 12 and Melvin Goins put in 10 with five assists.

The Vols started slowly, trailing 17-13 after an East Carolina 8-0 run in the opening eight minutes.  From there, it was all orange.

Tennessee led 43-27 at the break and with 58 percent shooting never allowed the Pirates back in the game.

The Vols are now 3-0.  They play DePaul Sunday after the Blue Demons upset Northern Iowa in the opening round of the tournament.
