As for where Vince Young stands in his bid to remain the Titans' No. 2 quarterback behind Kerry Collins, Coach Jeff Fisher said Sunday there is no change.

"He's always been our No. 2 quarterback and he'll remain that,'' Fisher said. "He's done a nice job most of the time in games as well as on the practice field.''

Whether the Titans end up keeping three quarterbacks going into the regular season, however, remains to be seen, the coach said.

Young was 17-of-24 for 174 yards in a 23-17 loss to the Browns on Saturday. Patrick Ramsey, signed in April to compete with Young for the No. 2 job, didn't play because of sore ribs.

After fumbling at the 1-yard line to end the first half and throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown, Young bounced back to throw a 15-yard scoring pass.

"In the past he struggled with an interception, but he came right back," Fisher said. "He has taken responsibility for things. He knows the position is not an easy one to play. ... He has come to work every single day ready to go and ready to get better.''

Young and Ramsey will get most of the snaps Thursday in the preseason finale against the Packers.

"Pat has done some real good things in ball games and on the practice field as well,'' Fisher said. "We're fortunate that we have three good quarterbacks. I think Pat can play in this league.''

Decisions at other positions will determine if the Titans keep three quarterbacks at the 53-man roster deadline on Saturday, Fisher said.

Asked if he'd be comfortable carrying three, he smiled: "I'd be more comfortable with four.''
