Records: Stolen car belonged to relative of an ex-boyfriend of Evelyn Boswell's mother

Evelyn Boswell, 15-months-old, was last seen December.

WILKESBORO, N.C. — Court records revealed the owner of the car police said was stolen and carried 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell's grandmother and her boyfriend to Wilkes County, North Carolina.

Those records identify the owner as Melissa Wood. Authorities said she is the mother of Hunter Wood, an ex-boyfriend of baby Evelyn’s mother, Megan Boswell.

Earlier, authorities said that Megan and her mother, Angela, were arranging to buy the grey BMW. They said no money was paid and Angela Boswell and her boyfriend, William McCloud, left Sullivan County in the BMW classified as stolen.
