UPDATE: Driver in deadly Chattanooga bus crash to face grand jury for rape charge

Johnthony Walker faces a charge of aggravated statutory rape.

UPDATE: A preliminary hearing for the Chattanooga bus driver accused of having sex with a minor has concluded, according to NBC affiliate WRCB.

Johnthony Walker faces a charge of aggravated statutory rape.

Davidson County authorities said he admitted in June to having what he believed to be consensual sex with a 14-year-old girl while staying in Nashville on bond after the guilty verdict in the Woodmore trial.

Walker's case has been bound over to the grand jury.

A judge revoked Johnthony Walker’s bond earlier this month after his arrest in Nashville on an aggravated statutory rape charge.

Walker remains in jail in Davidson County.

The Davidson County Sheriff's office booked Walker on one charge of aggravated statutory rape, a felony charge. He was jailed in lieu of $350,000 bond.

If convicted, Walker may be required to register as a sex offender.

District Attorney General Neal Pinkston's office has filed a motion to revoke Walker's bond from the Woodmore conviction.

Channel 3 obtained an affidavit which says Walker admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old girl. The victim's parents called police after finding out their daughter had sex with Walker, "over the course of the last couple months," according to the affidavit.

Court documents reveal Walker admitted to staying with the girl's family over the last few months. While living there, Walker allegedly started a "consensual" sexual relationship with the victim. Walked admitted to having sex with the girl five times.

Walker is being held on $350,000 bond in the Hill Detention Center.

He was in Nashville, out on bond in connection to the 2016 Woodmore bus crash that killed 6 children.

Walker is scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon.
