Captain will go through a period of adjustments at the barn to grow accustomed to his new home. Laks said he'll be there to help support the community as he continues to grow and thrive at the barn.

"He's going to help war veterans know they're not alone, and they have community. He's going to change the world," Laks said about Captain.

In less than a month, Captain will be able to run around and play with the other animals at the Gentle Barn.
