KCSO: Fatal fire at Forest Ridge Apartments in West Knoxville was intentionally set on Nov. 15

Crews responded to the fire around 8:30 a.m., according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — One person died after a fire during the morning of Nov. 15 at an apartment near Karns and Hardin Valley, the Knox County Sheriff's Office said. 

Crews were dispatched to Forest Ridge Apartments in the 2900 block of Tyler Jacob Way around 8:30 a.m., according to KCSO. The victim was taken to the Knox County Regional Forensics Center.

On Dec. 6, KCSO said investigators determined the fire was intentionally started, and said the suspect and victim in the case were the same person. He was identified as Michael Pelletier, 37. No charges will be filed in the case.
