Two men charged in stabbing death of Maryville teen

Investigators were called to Topside Road at Buck Drive around 10:42 p.m. where they found a male suffering multiple stab wounds.

UPDATE, Aug. 3, 2017: Alcoa Police have charged two men in connection with the July 25 stabbing death of 18-year-old Caleb Thomas Radford, of Maryville.

Keshawn Lonnell Hopewell, 21, of Alcoa, and Itiq Tivone Green, 28, of Louisville, are each charged with criminal homicide.

Radford was found with multiple stab wounds on Topside Road in Louisville the night of July 25.

The two are being held on $1 million bond. They have a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 7.

UPDATE, July 28, 2017: The identify of the victim was released Friday evening.

He was Caleb Thomas Radford, 18, of Maryville.

Radford had suffered multiple stab wounds, according to Alcoa officers and Blount County Sheriff's deputies.

After the incident, he was pronounced dead at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

PREVIOUS STORY, July 26, 2017: A homicide investigation is underway in Louisville after a man was found stabbed to death Tuesday night.

Investigators were called to Topside Road at Buck Drive around 10:42 p.m. where they found a male suffering multiple stab wounds.

The man was taken to UT Medical where he was pronounced dead, according to the City of Alcoa Police Chief David Carswell.

Blount County Sheriff’s deputies, City of Alcoa Fire Department personnel and a Knox County Sheriff’s Office aviation unit also responded to assist at the scene and aide in the search for a suspect. At this time, no suspects have been located.

A preliminary autopsy is being performed this morning at the University of Tennessee’s Regional Forensic Center.
