The Tennessee men's basketball team dropped three spots in the AP Poll Monday to No. 18 in the nation.
The Vols (18-6, 8-4 SEC) enjoyed a hot start to the week, overthrowing then-No. 24 Kentucky in Lexington, 61-59. However, Saturday saw the team's most lopsided loss of the season to unranked Alabama, 78-50, in Tuscaloosa.
Conference foes Auburn (No. 10) and Texas A&M (No. 21) were the other two SEC teams to check in the AP rankings this week.
The Vols will host unranked South Carolina for a 9 p.m. tip-off Tuesday.
