Grainger's Cabbage to sign with Twins

Grainger County native and Tennessee signee Trey Cabbage says he will play pro ball.
Cabbage was selected in the fourth round by the Twins.

Grainger's Trey Cabbage tells WBIR he will sign with the Minnesota Twins on Thursday.

The two sides have come to an agreement and are expected to make it official on Thursday in Minnesota, pending a physical.

The Twins drafted Cabbage, a third baseman, in the fourth round, 110th overall earlier this month.

Cabbage signed with Tennessee to play college baseball but decided to follow his dream of playing professional ball.

The signing bonus value recommended by Major League Baseball for the 110th pick is $517, 900.
