UT sent an email to faculty and staff regarding the damages. You can read the statement below:

"Throughout the Christmas weekend and the subsequent holiday week, a large number of Facilities Services and Public Safety personnel worked throughout campus to address numerous facilities emergencies that resulted from the freezing temperatures and rolling blackouts. Crews worked in 12-hour shifts to cover campus 24x7, walking buildings to identify broken water lines before they became catastrophic flooding events. Even with these proactive measures, there were dozens of leaks that resulted in varying degrees of damage to University buildings. FS staff worked with the various college's Associate Deans of Research and Facilities to coordinate immediate actions and will continue to work with them on the remediation and restoration prioritization."
