TDOT: I-75 North back open after vehicle fire past Raccoon Valley Dr. exit in Anderson Co.

The Tenessee Department of Transportation said the fire was reported at around 4:09 p.m. Eastern time.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — I-75 North was closed in Anderson County Tuesday afternoon after a vehicle fire, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation. A lane later reopened on the highway. By 10:15 p.m. the road was back open, according to the TDOT.

They said the fire was reported just after Raccoon Valley Dr. exit on I-75 North. Northbound traffic backed up to near the Emory Road exit as of around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cars heading the other way were backed up to near Charles G. Seivers Blvd.

The vehicle fire was reported to TDOT at around 4:09 p.m. Eastern time. According to images from officials, a tractor-trailer had caught fire.
