The Empty Stocking Fund is a program that has been going strong for over 100 years, and doesn't show signs of slowing down.
Originally created to help those in need who would otherwise have nothing in their stocking on Christmas day, families are still able to receive a whole box of food and variations of toys and books depending on the family size.
Volunteers packed boxes the week leading up to distribution day and made sure everything was just right before families filled the Jacob building in Chilhowee Park.
The Empty Stocking Fund helps thousands of East Tennessean families every year.
