Fantastic elastic: Moms test out yoga pants

We had three moms try out three different brands to find the best pair of yoga pants.

It's hard to find a mom these days who does not own at least one pair of yoga pants!

They are a staple for a mom trying to juggle all of life's activities.

"They're comfortable, you can switch them up, dress them up, dress them down and especially being pregnant and having the belly band, it's awesome," Jessica Ramsey said.

So, we had three moms test three brands.

They're sleek, they're comfortable and they function in almost any environment. Moms are dedicated to their yoga pants.

"When I'm around the house I wear them all day long," Sashia Wells said.

Women want their yoga pants to be good to them too!

"Some of them make you feel so comfortable and some of them make you feel like your pants are falling off all the time, but I love them!" Shari Lynch said.

First up, Nicole Lane, a working mom of one. She values high quality pants that last. So we asked her to try out Lululemon during her barre workout at Neighborhood Barre.

"I do spend a little bit more money, but they last longer so I'm able to keep a pair, wash them, do what I need to do. I have some pairs that I've had for four or five years and I'm still wearing them," Lane said.

Next, Joy Edwards, a stay-at-home mom of two very active boys. She wants comfort and loves a good value. We had her try the Champion brand from Target.

"Target is super easy because you can take the kids, they can be in the cart," Edwards said.

She works out at Harold's Hardbodies, a mix of cardio and weights. She likes this pair of leggings because they are not too constricting and didn't fall down.

Finally, Heather Grubb, a busy mom of three who co-owns a catering company. She works out five to six days a week, so function is key.

We had her try out Old Navy's workout leggings.

"If I'm going for a long run I want something that has a zipper. I don't like draw strings. I want a pair that stays up and doesn't fall down," Grubb said.

She found she had to adjust the pants towards the end of her run.

In our unscientific study, we found style and price are important to these moms, but comfort is the top priority.

While the Lululemon pants are the most expensive, the comfort factor sends them to the top. They win our test with a nine out of 10. Target is a great budget-friendly brand. They got an overall ranking of an eight. Old Navy came in with a six.
