KCSO investigating after shots fired at Hardin Valley apartment complex, no victims reported

The Knox County Sheriff's Office said at least one apartment unit was hit in the gunfire.

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — The Knox County Sheriff's Office said Friday it was investigating after receiving reports that gunshots were fired at an apartment complex in Hardin Valley.

The sheriff's office said at least two suspects were involved in the shooting, believed to have happened in a breezeway at The Preserve at Hardin Valley. Authorities said there were no known victims as of Friday afternoon, but confirmed at least one apartment was hit in the gunfire. 

The sheriff's office said it was investigating and asked people who were in the apartment complex between 3 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. to call detectives if they saw anything suspicious. KCSO said the detectives were available at 865-215-2243.
