KINGSPORT, Tenn. — Eastman Chemical Company confirmed in a statement they have a manufacturing facility in Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.
Eastman is based in Kingsport, but they have several manufacturing sites in China.
Eastman officials say the Wuhan plant has been shut down as a result of the virus and they are working to determine a restart date for the plant.
Officials say they are allowing many employees to work from home and they are also limiting staff at other offices and facilities to prevent the spread of the illness.
