RAM hosting free medical clinic in Clinton on the last weekend of April

Remote Area Medical will be at the First Baptist Church of Clinton on April 28 and 29 for those in need of vision, dental and medical services.

Anderson County Remote Area Medical will be in Clinton on the final weekend of April to offer free medical services to those in need.

The First Baptist Church of Clinton is sponsoring another RAM Expedition on April 28 and 29 to serve those in need of vision, dental and medical services.

The event is free and open to anyone.

People wishing to take advantage of the clinic should arrive at First Baptist Church's parking lot at 225 North Main Street in Clinton. The lot will open no later than midnight and numbered patient tickets will be given out starting at 3 a.m. that Saturday.

Clinic doors open at 6 a.m. each day, and patients will be admitted in the order they receive a ticket on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Because of time constraints, RAM said people should be prepared to choose between dental and vision services.

For volunteers, RAM no longer uses paper applications. People wanting to volunteer to help at the clinics will need to sign up online at volunteer.RAMUSA.org.

RAM offers the free clinic thanks to volunteers and donations. People wishing to donate to help provide these services in the future can do so at this link or at RAM's main website.
