(WBIR - NASHVILLE) Metro Nashville Police said Wednesday they arrested a man in connection to the 2014 death of a Davidson County woman.

Authorities charged Caleb Cannon, 34, with first-degree murder in the death of Nichole Burgess, police said. He was arrested at a custody hearing Wednesday morning.

Burgess' body has never been found.

Here is a timeline of the events:

May 23, 2014-- Burgess was last heard from on this date in the afternoon.

May 24, 2014-- A witness has reported seeing two individuals carry something out of Burgess' residence in the early morning hours on this date. The second individual involved in this case has not yet been identified.

May 25, 2014-- A friend of Burgess' alerted police that Burgess had been missing.

May 29, 2014-- Metro police woulndn't rule out foul play as they searched for a Nichole Burgess, who was reported missing on May 25.

June 3, 2014-- Some of those who knew Burgess tried spreading the word about her case on social media.

June 5, 2014-- The search continued for a missing Middle Tennessee woman with connections to East Tennessee continued.

June 5, 2014-- A Metro Nashville police detective told an East Tennessee judge that he believes Burgess went missing.

June 9, 2014-- Nicholle Burgess lived in Nashville, but grew up in Cumberland County. The investigation took authorities to an Anderson County home in June 2014.

July 24, 2014-- An East Tennessee fundraiser helped support the family of Burgess.

August 16, 2014-- The FBI began helping other law enforcement agencies and officials in trying to find Burgess.

Oct. 23, 2014-- This date marked five months since Nichole Burgess was last heard from.

Oct. 28, 2015-- Authorities arrested Cannon after nearly a year and half after Burgess disappeared. Cannon is charged with first-degree murder, and was being held in Metro jail on a $750,000 bond. Metro Nashville Police are looking for a second suspect.
