KPD: 1 wounded, 16-year-old arrested after shooting at Inskip Park in Knoxville

Officers responded to a call around 7:10 p.m. in a parking lot at Inskip Park in Knoxville.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Update (4/14): A juvenile suspect is in custody and a man was taken to the hospital with serious wounds after a shooting at 4204 Bruhin Road, the Knoxville Police Department said. 

Officers responded to a call around 7:10 p.m. to a parking lot at Inskip Park in Knoxville. KPD said a possible suspect was detained at the scene. 

On Sunday, KPD said officers arrested a 16-year-old and charged them with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. Police believe the shooting happened after a "pre-arranged transaction" between the suspect and victim.

KPD said the investigation is still in the early stages at this time.
