CCSO reveals man shot in residence on Buda Road broke into home

Deputies said a man was pronounced dead at the scene after a shooting on Saturday morning.

COCKE COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (8:41 p.m.): The Cocke County Sheriff's Office has released new details on the shooting at a home on Buda Road. 

CCSO identified the man as 33-year-old Trondre Hines. It was reported by witnesses that Hines entered a camper at an address on Buda Road. The home was occupied at that time when Hines broke in, CCSO said.

Officials reported that Hines started fighting with people inside the home. During that time, he started to fight another person in the home when a shot was fired at him. 

Hines's body was transported to the Knoxville Forensic Center for an autopsy, CCSO said. 

All evidence in this case will be presented to James B. Dunn 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The Cocke County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a shooting at a home on Buda Road on Saturday.

The shooting happened around 8:41 a.m. according to CCSO. 

When deputies arrived at the home, they found a male victim. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff's office is investigating.
