Children in Knoxville soon will have another playground to enjoy.
More than 200 volunteers worked Friday to put together a permanent play structure at The Muse Knoxville.
The museum teamed up with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Kaboom! for a one-day playground building blitz.
'We are right here in this awesome park, Chilhowee Park, it's been here for years, but we didn't have a public access playground for kids within a two-mile radius," said Ellie Kittrell, executive director of The Muse Knoxville. "So we thought what a better place to put a playground than next to a children's museum."
The Muse plans to hold a ribbon cutting as soon as construction is complete.
