KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers group said that ever since May 5, 2021, the group has received 6,072 tips. The group works to collect information about active investigations from anonymous tipsters, offering reward money when information leads to an arrest.
It said between May 5, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2023, the group helped make 118 arrests and helped issue 67 warrants. It also said 70 fugitives were apprehended with the group's help, and helped clear 155 cases in the same timeframe.
Four weapons have been recovered, along with around $90,067 worth of property. The group also said it gave out $49,500 in reward money since May 2021.
