Items from former Regas Restaurant auctioned off

Auctioneers sold off thousands of items from the former Regas Restaurant in Downtown Knoxville on Thursday.

Regas closed its doors on New Year's after 91 years of business. The Regas name and building are co-owned by Regas Family and the Dave Thomas family, the former owners of Wendy's.Auctioneers would not give out the total amount of money brought in during Thursday's auction, but they did give us one figure.The cheese cart from the front of the restaurant sold for more than $7,500./>
