KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Knoxville father is asking for help in finding his daughter's lost blanket.

Joey Howell originally posted on Nextdoor about the blanket on Friday, Dec. 8 saying "Someone picked up a yellow and black tub from in front of my house (3105 Luwana) [Friday, Dec. 1] at about 5:45 p.m. They were driving a black or dark-colored truck. That tub had a violin and my daughter's irreplaceable baby blanket in it."

Howell told 10News that the blanket has sentimental value to his 13-year-old daughter. He said got the blanket from her grandmother when she was first born and that his daughter planned on giving it to her children if she has them one day.

He said that when referring to the blanket, they say "her" instead of "it," like the blanket is a person.

Howell also told 10News he left the box outside his house so his ex-wife could come get their kids's things. He mentioned never having a problem with leaving the box outside because no one would mess with it.

"I would love to get the blanket back because it is crushing her to have lost it," he said in a post.

Howell also said the blanket was wrapped in a black garbage bag inside the tub with a yellow lid.

Since the incident, Howell has posted flyers and posted pictures on Facebook of the last time the box was seen.
