Part of E. Morris Blvd. back open after crews responded to fire at Morristown business

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — Crews were responding to reports of a structure fire in Morristown on Friday.

The City of Morristown said on social media that it was burning in the building of Morristown Signs, a business on E. Morris Boulevard. The city said to keep firefighters and the general community safe, an area of the road would be closed. By 3 p.m. the road was back open.

It said the road was closed from Hale Avenue to Liberty Hill Road, and the road was expected to "remain closed for some time." Anyone traveling in the area should find a different route and avoid the area, the city said.
