No students injured in Rogersville bus crash

One person was taken to the hospital but no students were injured after a bus crash in Hawkins County.

Rogersville — One person is injured but all students are okay after a Rogersville bus crash.

It happened on Highway 11W in Hawkins County near Park Boulevard around 9 a.m. Thursday.

Rogersville City Police Chief Doug Nelson says the bus had several students on board from Joseph Rogers Primary, Rogersville Middle, and Hawkins Elementary schools when it was hit from behind by Subaru SUV.

The driver of that SUV was airlifted to a medical center for treatment. No students were injured.

The cause of the crash is unclear. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating.
