GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — One person was found dead after a house fire on Robert Harmon Road Sunday morning, according to the Green County Sheriff's Department.
At around 9:36 a.m., Greene County 911 received a call of a house fire. The caller said one person was inside of that building, GCSD said. Multiple agencies including Tusculum, Mosheim and United Volunteer Fire Departments helped the Greeneville Fire Department put out the fire.
After the fire was put out, one person was found inside, officials said.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and arson investigators with GCSD are looking into the cause of the fire.
The body was taken to the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center for identification and an autopsy.
