Sevier Co. fire contained after residents evacuated

The fire was reported on Bluff Heights Road Tuesday evening. One structure was impacted by the fire.

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — UPDATE (3/20): Sevier County officials said the structure and brush fire that caused residents to be evacuated is contained. 

One structure was impacted by the fire. Other threatened structures nearby are unaffected. 

Crews are working to address any hotspots.

Authorities said crews responded to a structure fire in Sevier County Tuesday night. They said emergency crews were responding to a fire on Bluff Heights Road at around 11 p.m., located off Gibson Hollow Road.

According to a release, authorities are also evacuating residents in the area. At least one structure has been impacted and others were threatened, they said.

Bluff Heights Road is located between Sevierville and Dupont. Residents and visitors in the area are asked to take precautions and prepare for a possible evacuation, according to a release from Sevier County authorities.
