KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department is investigating an early-morning stabbing that happened near Market Square.
At around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, KPD responded to the Market Square area, where a 36-year-old man was found suffering from multiple lacerations.
KPD said the victim and an unknown suspect were fighting when the suspect stabbed him with a broken bottle. The suspect then left the scene before officers arrived.
The victim was then taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. KPD said he is being treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
