More than 300 people looking for Sumner Co. teen as search continues in Middle Tennessee

The chief deputy of the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office said a private reward is in the works.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — On Saturday, more than 300 people joined in the search for missing 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers, marking the sixth day since he disappeared.

Authorities are working to prepare a private reward for information about his location, according to Eric Craddock, a Sumner County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy.

The Franklin Police Department also sent a dive team to help search for Rogers on Friday. He left his home in the Shackle Island area sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert for Rogers, and authorities across the area he disappeared from are using helicopters, drones and dogs to try to find him. Hundreds of people trained in searching for missing people are also scouring on foot.

SCSO asked people in the area to review their security footage and trail cameras focusing on Sunday afternoon through Monday morning, to see if he was spotted on a camera.

“We believe even the smallest detail could be the key to finding Sebastian,” the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

Authorities are also asking people to search their property like sheds, garages, tarps and dense brush.

“Think of places where a child might seek shelter or could accidentally become trapped,” The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office said.
