Tennessee fans mock former coach Lane Kiffin

Tennessee fans are savoring the news of former coach Lane Kiffin's firing from USC. Most fans still feel deep resentment for the coach after he abruptly left UT in 2010 after one season.

Vol nation is still riding high from not one but what many would consider two weekend victories.

Tennessee managed to prevent an upset by South Alabama on Saturday before waking Sunday morning to learn Lane Kiffin had been fired from Southern Cal.

"Karma is very, very strong," said Tennessee Sports Radio's Jayson Swain. "Karma is undefeated. I mean, it never lost a game."

There are few, if any in Tennessee, feeling sympathy for Kiffin this week. Swain said poking fun at the former Vol coach is too easy.

Both the staff and the regulars enjoyed a good laugh about the sign outside the restaurant advertising the special.

"It's funny, you know? He's an easy target," said bar manager April Heer. She offered up this analogy to explain how Vol fans feel about Kiffin's firing.

"It's kind of like having this really cute guy dump you and then [he] gets dumped by another girl, you know? Left you for another girl then got dumped by that girl," she laughed.

"So it feels good."

For all the laughs shared, most Vol fans are already shifting their focus away from Kiffin and back to the current Tennessee season.

"Tennessee plays Georgia this weekend, they've got the smoky gray uniforms coming out," Swain said before mentioning the number of Kiffin-related calls to his show are decreasing.ID=2899597

The ones who did call, wanted to know who would fill the Southern Cal job. As for Kiffin's future?

Swain got in a final jab:

"Maybe he can work with his daddy! Who knows?"
