CLEVELAND - As the country reels from the killing of police officers in Baton Rouge and Dallas, all eyes are now on Cleveland. There is a sense of anxiety on the streets outside Quicken Loans Arena, where the Republican National Convention will be this week. Many hope it will be a safe and peaceful gathering.
Cleveland appears firmly under the protection of legions of law enforcement officers.
“A little bit shocked at the security. It’s kind of, I don’t know how to describe it. It’s not disheartening, as I give Cleveland credit for pulling it off. But, sad that it has to be so secure and can’t be more open,” Margie tells Reporter David Schechter.
