KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — On Selection Sunday, Tennessee women's basketball earned a six seed in the NCAA tournament and will play Green Bay at noon on Saturday in the first round in Raleigh, N.C.

Tennessee is the only team to never miss an NCAA Tournament. This will mark the 42nd straight appearance in March Madness.

The Lady Vols get the sixth seed after coming one second away from beating No. 1 South Carolina in the SEC Tournament semifinals.

This is their lowest seed since 2019 when the team lost to No. 6 UCLA in the tournament's first round. Before this year, under head coach Kellie Harper, the Lady Vols earned a top-five seed in the last three seasons.

The Lady Vols will play Green Bay on Saturday, March 23 at noon. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
