KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — No. 3 Tennessee softball won with a walk-off hit in the eighth inning to sweep No. 23 Kentucky on Senior Day on Saturday inside Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

Taylor Pannell hit a solo shot to right-center field for the 8-7 win. It was her third RBI of the game. She hit a home run in each of the games against Kentucky in the regular season finale.

This comes a day after the Lady Vols claimed back-to-back SEC regular season championships.

Tennessee closes out the regular season with a 40-9 record and 19-5 in SEC play.

It's the 20th straight season, excluding the COVID-19 shortened season, where the Lady Vols have won 40 games in a season.

Before the game the seniors were celebrated, which included Kiki Milloy and Rylie West.

Millow hit a home run in the game and went 2 of 3 at the plate and scored three runs. West was 3 of 4 from the plate and had two RBIs.

All the seniors' dads threw out the first pitch before the game.

Next up for the Lady Vols is the SEC Tournament, where they will be the No. 1 seed. The tournament will be held from May 7-11.
