Knoxville Ice Bears interim head coach resigns

Andrew Harrison has been the interim head coach for the hockey team since November 2023.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Ice Bears interim head coach has resigned.

Andrew Harrison was named the interim head coach on Nov. 5 after previous head coach Brent Clarke resigned.

Harrison was hired as Clarke's assistant coach in 2022. Harrison played for 10 years and appeared in over 400 professional games.

“We are grateful for Andrew’s hard work and dedication to our organization,” said Ice Bears President and General Manager Mike Murray. “Our goal now is to move forward and put our organization in a position to succeed on the ice. We continued to receive tremendous support from our fans and partners this past season and we intend to provide a high standard of excellence from our team moving forward.”

The search for a new coach has begun. The Ice Bears' 23rd season starts in October.
