KNOXVILLE, Tenn — Tennessee's 2016 win over Georgia is one Vol fans won't soon forget.

The game capped off with a 43-yard Hail Mary pass from quarterback Josh Dobbs to wide receiver Jauan Jennings as time expired for the 34-31 win.

It was the last time UT defeated the Bulldogs and Tennessee's first win in Athens since 2006. Members of the team basked in the moment after the game.

"It's stuff you dream about," quarterback Josh Dobbs said.

"It was just an unbelievable experience," said Jauan Jennings. wide receiver. "I'll never forget it the rest of my life."

It was almost hard to believe for the Vols as they watched the final play unfold.

"It's kind of surreal," said Butch Jones, the Vols head coach. "I saw the ball and it was a tight spiral and had good lift, so I thought we had a chance."

"I saw everyone jumping up and down," Dobbs said. "Disbelief that he came down with it."

Jennings decided to throw the ball away as he was being carried on his team's shoulders and didn't care much about keeping it.

"It wasn't a game ball or anything," Jennings said.

Quarterback Josh Dobbs had a much different opinion.

"I had to run and get it," Dobbs said. "Make sure we keep this one for sure."

The moment proved to be the peak of the 2016 season, but it also gave Vol fans a moment they keep with them forever.

The Vols will face top-ranked Georgia this Saturday at Neyland Stadium looking for their first win against the Bulldogs since the 2016 thriller, and Tennessee will try and defeat UGA in Knoxville for the first time since 2015.
