KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Football announced its National Signing Class roster on Wednesday afternoon.

UT entered Early Signing Day with the nation’s No. 13 recruiting class according to 247Sports.

There are a total of 27 players on the roster. The mix includes transfers and high school players from around the country. Two notable transfers include Holden Staes, a Notre Dame tight end, and Jermond McCoy, a defensive back out of Oregon State.

Ten of the 27 players have ties to Tennessee. Head Coach Josh Heupel said it’s important to recruit within the area and the recruiting staff spends a lot of time communicating with coaches within the state.

“We’re going to recruit them right away,” Heupel said. “It doesn’t mean we will get every single one of them, but we want to make sure that we’re very thorough in the evaluation process.”

Heupel is confident the 2024 class has mature makeup, and he believes they will be successful on and off the field at UT.

“They’re dynamic in the way that they play,” Heupel said. “Love the competitive makeup of this group. Some guys that I’ve already shown some leadership traits.”

UT Football is looking forward to putting these new guys to work and incorporating them into the 2024 season.
