The Alcoa Police Department said Friday that a crash reported at around 5:45 a.m. led to the death of a 19-year-old woman.

The crash occurred at East Lincoln Road and Southbound Hall Road, according to APD. It's near Blackhorse Pub and Brewery. APD said a Chevrolet Silverado driving west on E. Lincoln Road disregarded a red light and hit the driver's side of a Nissan Sentra driving south on Hall Road.

The 19-year-old driver of the Sentra died from her injuries after being taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, according to APD.

Ater the crash, APD said two juveniles ran from the Silverado and were apprehended. Investigators said one juvenile was driving, and the other was a passenger. APD also said the Silverado had been stolen earlier in the morning.
