North Carolina Highway Patrol adds 2024 Ford Mustangs to fleet

More than two dozen marked Ford Mustangs will make their debut across North Carolina this year, Highway Patrol said.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — North Carolina State Highway Patrol announced it is adding 25 Ford Mustangs to its fleet, carrying on the agency's use of muscle cars to monitor highways in the Tar Heel State.

State Highway Patrol said the 2024 Mustangs cost about the same as other vehicles in their fleet. The new Mustang patrol cars will primarily be used on interstates in North Carolina, according to a Facebook post by Highway Patrol
