Knoxville airport announces three new nonstop Allegiant flights

One-way fares for these three destinations will start at $45, according to McGhee Tyson Airport officials.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — McGhee Tyson Airport announced three new nonstop routes on Monday.

Allegiant Airlines will begin offering flights from Knoxville to St. Louis on June 13. Flights from Knoxville to Jacksonville, Florida and South Bend, Indiana will begin on June 14.

One-way fares for these three destinations will start at $45, according to McGhee Tyson Airport officials.

“For nearly two decades, Allegiant Air has been consistently growing in our region and has brought numerous new flights, hundreds of new jobs, and thousands of new visitors to Knoxville and the Great Smoky Mountains,” President of the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority Patrick Wilson said. "With the announcement of today’s new flights, they offer 18 nonstop destinations across the country. We look forward to serving travelers from Jacksonville, South Bend and the St. Louis area, while also promoting these destinations to the people of East Tennessee.”

So far this month, McGhee Tyson Airport has announced a parking garage expansion and a new airline that'll offer a direct flight to Connecticut. A gate expansion is also expected in the future.

The airport's growth comes after a record-setting travel season last year. According to McGhee Tyson Airport Spokesperson Becky Huckaby, October 2023 was the busiest month in airport history.
