KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A man died after a shooting outside Rocky Top on Monday, according to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
ACSO said the shooting happened at a home on Cedar Lane and called it "domestic-related."
Deputies released new details about the incident on Tuesday. ACSO said E-911 received a call around 5:30 p.m. Monday reporting the incident. When deputies arrived at the home, they found the victim. He was identified as 45-year-old Eric Patterson.
ACSO said investigators are working to gather evidence in the case. The agency called the shooting "tragic."
“Our thoughts and condolences go out to the affected family during this difficult time,” ACSO Sheriff Russell Barker said.
