KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department responded to a shooting on Western Avenue early Saturday morning when they found a 21-year-old shot.
After finding the victim, KPD said he was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment. KPD believed his injuries were not life-threatening.
According to police, the victim reported he had crashed into another car and left the scene. He then told police that the car he hit followed him and shot at him.
KPD said the victim did not want to cooperate with the investigation and could not provide any information to help identify the involved car and shooting suspect.
