Crews fighting 15-acre brush fire in Union County

The fire is on Texas Hollow Road. One person was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, according to the Paulette Volunteer Fire Department chief.

UNION COUNTY, Tenn. — Crews are fighting a 15-acre brush fire in Union County, according to Paulette Volunteer Fire Department Chief Daniel Rice. 

The fire broke out on Texas Hollow Road around noon Friday. The Tennessee Division of Forestry is responding, Union County dispatchers said.

The fire started from a burn barrel being used with trash in it and one person was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, according to Rice.

As of 3:09 p.m., Chief Rice reported one garage was lost in the fire, along with multiple vehicles.
