THP: 4 people, including 2 juveniles, injured after crash near Carter Middle School

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a total of four people were injured after a crash near Carter Middle School and Carter High School Tuesday morning.

According to a preliminary report, the crash happened at around 7:15 a.m. on Jan. 30. It said Randall Craft, 75, was driving west on Asheville Highway while another car was heading east on the same road. The report said Craft's car crossed the center lane divider and hit the other car head-on near Carter School Road.

The driver of the car was injured and so was a 12-year-old and 14-year-old in the car. Craft was also injured, according to THP. He faces charges for due care and financial responsibility.
